WELCOME TO THE INTERNATIONAL

ONE STOP SHOP FOR ACCESSIBLE TOURISM

THE AWARD WINNING WEBSITE

It is expected that the International One Stop Shop For Accessible Tourism will become one of the most widely accepted ways of improving the access to tourist accommodation and venues around the world.

Meeting the standards will not always guarantee tourism operators compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), nor will it meet every particular need in every situation, but it will go a long way in assisting the tourism industry to provide a more accessible environment and, most importantly, offer tourists with a disability a choice between a facility that has been audited and/or self assessed  and others that have not.

The Accessible Tourism Project is a straightforward  e-service that is easy to understand, and incorporates an accessible criteria rating system.  The project will guide and assist tourists with disabilities in making an informed choice.  They will be assured  that what they are booking for is what they will receive, and  that they will be treated exactly like any other tourists.

Under the Accessible Tourism Project, it is hoped that many public places, including tourism venues and accommodation, will become more accessible to all tourists with disabilities.  Tourism operators will find  that  making their facilities accessible to tourists with disabilities and their families and/or carers can only have a very positive outcome for them.

The Accessible Tourism Project will ensure that  statements such as ‘Wheelchair Friendly’ or ‘With Assistance’ do not appear as a criteria for access to any tourism facility.

If you have  any access  difficulties with  any of  the  facilities appearing on  this web-site please  contact us  with details.

This innovative project is a initiative of Access For All Alliance Inc who trust that by using the australiaforall.com.au Accessible Tourism's e-service it will ensure all future holidays will be enjoyable and accessible for tourists with disabilities.
