This web site would not have been possible without the assistance of Ivor Ambrose Senior Consultant,  European Network For Accessible Tourism (ENAT), Graham Miller, Senior Lecturer in Management, School of Management, University of Surrey, Simon Murphy, General Manager, Quality in Tourism, GSL Globaland members of OSSATE (One Stop Shop For Accessible Tourism in Europe). We also extend our thanks to all those involved in the Tourism industry in Europe who took the time to assist us to develop the australiaforall.com.au web site.

AustraliaForAll.com.au is an initiative of Access For All Alliance Inc. It is a destination finder where tourists with disabilities can obtain accessibility information in the knowledge that it is complete and correct.

What is the Definition of ‘Disability
The Disability Discrimination Act 1992 defines disability in relation to a person as:
Total or partial loss of a person’s bodily or mental functions;
Total or partial loss of a part of the body;
The presence in the body of organisms causing disease or illness;
The presence in the body of organisms capable of causing disease or illness;
The  malfunction, malformation or disfigurement of a part of a person’s body;
A disorder or malfunction that results in the person learning differently from a person without the disorder or malfunction;
A disorder, illness or disease that affects a person’s thought processes, perception of reality, emotions or judgment or that results in disturbed behaviour.

australiaforall.com.au is a new national e-service which allows tourists with disabilities and their families to obtain information about the accessibility of the accommodation and tourism venues which they wish to visit. At the same time it will assist tourism providers within the tourism industry to improve their services and therefore encourage more tourists with disabilities to use them.

The features of this e-service include:

  • One Stop Shop for browsing, choosing (and where possible) booking destinations

  • A cross-border service giving access to information and accessible tourism throughout Australia

  • Information that is reliable and can be trusted as it is based on a consensus regarding the criteria levels and standards for accessibility.

  • australiaforall.com.au plays an important role for travellers with physical, visual and hearing impairments. It provides information that has been self assessed and/or photographically verified to meet the various criteria levels of accessibility for accommodation and places of entertainment.   We are pleased to announce that with the aid of ourcommunity.com.au we have  launched ,  a secure donation facility.

    www.australiaforall.com.au is an international website devoted entirely to accommodation and tourism venues which are accessible to people with disabilities. We are a non-funded, not-for-profit entity administered by people with disabilities and their carers who have produced this website as a community service. We are collecting funds to ensure that we can continue to offer tourism providers free inclusion on the web site.
